Requirements for credentialing are based on MHMD network management, MHMD policies and procedures, and regulatory agency requirements including but not limited to National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC).

The MHMD Credentialing Department’s primary responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring quality, high-reliability care and patient safety
2. Collecting application and credentialing data
3. Reviewing and evaluating qualifications
4. Conducting one onsite survey every other year
5. Complying with annual payer audits and other regulatory agency requirements
